Welcome to Language Xchange Ireland

Language Xchange Ireland offers international students an exciting opportunity to come to Ireland to improve their ‘Business English’. Students stay with an Irish host family, undertake a Voluntary Work Placement (or attend our Business English Language School) and participate in local social and cultural activites and events.

The Voluntary Work Placements, provided by local businesses such as yours, are an essential component of the student's program. These placements offer students an environment in which they can not only practice English but also learn business terminology.

In return, students will take on those small projects that you've been meaning to do for a while! Our students have helped local businesses develop their websites, get their administration up to date and many other helpful projects!

We are delighted to work in partnership with local businesses to deliver these English Learning Programs. We are also very pleased that Language Xchange Ireland, our students and teachers support the local economy by availing of local services, promoting local tourism and shopping, and promoting Kilkenny as a travel destination to our international contacts.
